At HEYSUN 2026, H2IT brought together institutions, companies and the research community to discuss the future of Italy’s Hydrogen Valleys beyond PNRR funding. CTS H2 took part in the event with its own exhibition stand, contributing to the discussion on the development of a practical, sustainable hydrogen value chain that is fully integrated into local territories.
e future of Italy’s Hydrogen Valleys depends on the ability to transform the investments made through the PNRR into solid energy and industrial ecosystems that are economically sustainable and capable of generating long-term value.
This was the central theme of the round table organised by H2IT – the Italian Hydrogen Association – as part of HEYSUN 2026, the Energy Transition Expo held in Catania.
The discussion brought together institutions, companies, research centres and industry experts, with particular focus on the need to strengthen demand for renewable hydrogen, integrate production with end uses, and create economic and regulatory frameworks capable of ensuring continuity for the projects already launched.
Hydrogen Valleys are in fact one of the most important tools for building local ecosystems in which hydrogen production, distribution and use can develop in a coordinated way, contributing to the decarbonisation of sectors where direct electrification is more challenging.
In this context, CTS H2 took part in HEYSUN 2026 with its own exhibition stand, reaffirming its commitment to developing technologies and solutions for the hydrogen value chain.
The event provided an opportunity to engage with companies, institutions and industry operators on market growth prospects and on the role that modular technologies, storage systems and mobility solutions can play within future Hydrogen Valleys.
